Cherry Mantel, Detail |
|
We made this from a photo and sketch. We had to provide for code which kept the mantel height above what looks good. Oh well. |

Pine Kitchen #1 |
|
First of three shots of a kitchen in yellow pine to match some cabinetry already there ca. 1925. We matched the moldings, the scantlings, the color and even the hardware by modifying commercially available parts. |

Cherry Kitchen #1 |
|
It is hard to photograph a kitchen! We always recommend that the cabinet doors and details reflect variety, which makes living in a kitchen so much more enjoyable. |

Mahogany Bar #1 |

A nice bar in the Edwardian style, with bookmatched Honduras Mahogany veneer panels, solid Mahogany details and tops, brass railings. |

This sort of work requires a close working relationship with other contractors. We pride ourselves in being able to make those relationships work. |

Fancy Cherry Kitchen #1 |
|
This is the first (and perhaps the only?) kitchen that sports ogee bracket feet on some of the cabinets, as well as proper furniture-grade quarter columns. The doors and drawers are flush with a small scratch bead around the openings. |

Fancy Cherry Kitchen #4 |
|
Note the highly decorative carved frieze molding based on a piece owned by the customer. Tricky, but exceedingly effective. The glass doors in this set were all hand-made the traditional way, and the shelves behind match the muntins in the way of 18th Century cabinets. |

Oak Mantel |
|
This customer's son-in-law is an architect, and designed this mantel to complement the oak furnishings and details of this NJ shore house. We glued up great hunks of oak and turned the columns, then shaved off the back sides to fit in three-quarters relief. |

Carved Cherry Mantel #1 |
|
Angled view of a cherry mantel for a local patron. The detail on the mantel is that of linenfold - very difficult to do in cherry. |
