Pricing

With custom designed work, or with
restoration, we develop a firm quote based on our estimate of the amount
of time that a piece requires, multiplied by our hourly shop rate. The
cost of materials is then added. If during the planning stage, a more
expensive wood or hardware is desired, the price changes only by the
difference in cost of materials. If during the building stage, the
customer asks for additional details that require more time, such as
carving or new decorative elements, the base price will be affected.
As a rule of thumb, the price for a new
piece from our shop usually works out to be about the same as the
highest-grade of factory made furniture.
